The Rights and The Wrongs of Intellectual Rights
Chapter Two
Abstract
This presentation centers on the issues facing the University community, in particular computer scientists and engineers, in the area of Intellectual Property legislation, in particular as it applies to the way we conduct our activities in teaching and research.
The presentation will review the developments of the 1980s and contrast them with what we face as we ended the previous century and entered into the current one. No previous knowledge in Intellectual Property issues or concepts is assumed or necessary.
